GANSEVOORT, N.Y. – The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) has announced Barry McGrain III and Julia Miller-Notestone as its Student-Athlete of the Week selections in swimming and diving for the week ending Oct. 21.

Barry McGrain III (Lakeville, N.Y.) from Gallaudet University has been selected as the NEAC Men’s Swimming & Diving Student-Athlete of the Week after a strong home debut against Bridgewater. The Bison’s rookie won the 200-yard and 500-yard freestyle with times of 2:09.77 and 5:55.13, respectively. He also took third in the 100-yard backstroke and was a member of the 200-yard medley relay that finished second.

Julia Miller-Notestone (Medford, Ore.) from Gallaudet University has been named NEAC Women’s Swimming & Diving Student-Athlete of the Week after a second-place finish in the 500-yard freestyle against Bridgewater with a time of 6:02.62. The junior swimmer also finished third in the 100-yard and 200-yard freestyle events. Miller-Notestone was also part of Gallaudet’s third-place 200-yard medley relay team.
