GANSEVOORT, N.Y. – The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) has announced its Student-Athlete of the Week selections in men’s and women’s swimming and diving for the week ending Dec. 9. This week’s honors go to student-athletes from Gallaudet University and SUNY Cobleskill.

Ben Sealts (Ottawa, Ohio) from Gallaudet University has been selected as the NEAC Men’s Swimming & Diving Student-Athlete of the Week after winning every event he entered at the Cedar Crest College Falcon Invitational to earn his fourth weekly award this season. The Bison’s sophomore swimmer had a remarkable weekend winning nine individual events and was a member of four first-place relay teams. Sealts’ performance helped Gallaudet to a team win with 642 points and included new school records in the 50-yard butterfly, 50-yard breaststroke and 100-yard breaststroke. He also set a new personal record with a time of 55.24 in the 100-yard butterfly.  

Katherine Noncarrow (Allendale, N.J.) from SUNY Cobleskill has been named the NEAC Women’s Swimming & Diving Student-Athlete of the Week for the second time this year after a strong showing at the Cedar Crest College Falcon Invitational. Noncarrow earned individual victories in the 100-yard butterfly and 500-yard freestyle with times of 1:07.65 and 5:50.91, respectively. The Fighting Tigers’ rookie also placed second in the 100-yard individual medley and fourth in the 100-yard backstroke. In relay events, Noncarrow earned a pair of second-place finishes and was part of a team that placed third in the 200-yard medley relay.


The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) has 12 NCAA Division III member institutions which include: Cazenovia College, College of Saint Elizabeth, Gallaudet University, Keuka College, Lancaster Bible College, Pennsylvania College of Technology, Pennsylvania State University – Abington, Pennsylvania State University – Berks, SUNY Cobleskill, Morrisville State, SUNY Polytechnic Institute, and Wells College. Associate members are: Cedar Crest College (W Swimming), D’Youville College (W Lacrosse), Hilbert College (M&W Lacrosse), Medaille College (M&W Lacrosse), Rutgers University – Camden (M Golf), and Wilson College (M Volleyball). The NEAC has partnered with the North Atlantic Conference in the sport of men’s tennis and with the Colonial State Athletic Conference in the sport of Field Hockey.
