GANSEVOORT, N.Y. – The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) has announced Aaron Connolly and Julia Miller-Notestone as its Student-Athlete of the Week selections in men’s and women’s swimming and diving for the week ending Jan. 27.

Aaron Connolly (Freetown, Mass.) from Wells College has been selected as the NEAC Men’s Swimming & Diving Student-Athlete of the Week after helping the Express win dual meets against SUNY Delhi and Cazenovia last week. On Jan. 23 against SUNY Delhi, Connolly placed first in the 200-yard individual medley (2:39.53) and 100-yard breaststroke (1:15.51) while also swimming on the winning 200-yard medley relay (2:08.25). Over the weekend against Cazenovia, the Wells’ sophomore earned a first-place finish in the 100-yard freestyle (1:00.28) and 200-yard breaststroke (2:46.75). Connolly also finished second in the 200-yard freestyle (2:16.31) and swam a leg of the winning 200-yard medley relay (2:11.02).

Julia Miller-Notestone (Medford, Ore.) from Gallaudet University has been named the NEAC Women’s Swimming & Diving Student-Athlete of the Week for the second-straight week and third time this season after three first-place finishes. The Bison’s junior swimmer won the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 2:16.34. Miller-Notestone also was the first to touch the wall in the 100-yard backstroke (1:09.27) and 500-yard freestyle (6:07.41) to help Gallaudet defeat Sweet Briar, 74-70.
